Amori invisibili, robot e calzoncini tirolesi – Giorno 2

Dopo una prima – esaltante – giornata, il Trieste Science+Fiction Festival entra nel vivo con una giornata che inizia all’insegna della scienza: prenderanno infatti il via gli ormai consueti Incontri di Futurologia, ciclo di conversazioni con scienziati e narratori per esplorare le nuove frontiere della ricerca scientifica e riflettere sugli intrecci fra scienza, letteratura e cinema.
A ingresso gratuito, sono ospitati dal Magazzino delle Idee mercoledì 2, giovedì 3 e sabato 5 novembre dalle 10.30 alle 13.00.

Quanto alla fantascienza, sarà una giornata ricca di Anteprime in Concorso e Fuori Concorso.
Le proiezioni inizieranno al Teatro Miela alle 14.30 con la prima sessione di corti appartenenti alla sezione Fuori Concorso Fantastic Short:

Il primo titolo in Concorso verrà invece proiettato in Sala Tripcovich alle 15.00: Realive di Mateo Gil, sceneggiatore di Vanilla Sky e Mare dentro, che racconta una storia di ibernazione e resurrezione hi-tec.

In Concorso domani anche Creative Control di Benjamin Dickinson, film che esplora la realtà aumentata e le relazioni interpersonali nella Brooklyn di domani; Mon Ange di Harry Cleven, poetica fiaba sci-fi tra una ragazza che non può vedere e un ragazzo che non può essere visto, dagli autori di Dio esiste e vive a Bruxelles.

L’inglese Kill Command di Steven Gomez, che, in un ritorno ai temi di Terminator e Robocop, presenta un’unità d’élite dell’esercito inviata su di un’isola per testare i più recenti prototipi di macchine per uccidere; La rage du démon di Fabien Delage, brillante indagine sul ritrovamento di un film raro, affascinante e pericoloso, attribuito a George Méliès; Vulcania di José Skaf, ambientato in un luogo misterioso, perso nello spazio e nel tempo; e a mezzanotte l’austriaco Attack of the Lederhosenzombies di Dominik Hartl, zombie movie ambientato in un rifugio di montagna.

Sci-Fi Classix, la sezione dei grandi classici del cinema di genere in nuove edizioni restaurate e rimasterizzate, riporterà oggi in sala un capolavoro della fantascienza sovietica come Per aspera ad astra di Ričard Viktorov.

Discoverying the excitement at the base of cinema.
A workshop to reveal what is hidden behind the magic of the moving images. The participants – teens – will make small objects simulating the cinematographic vision to find out the secrets of the first films.
