Appena arrivata su Venere, una squadra di cosmonauti trova un ambiente ostile brulicante di furiosi vulcani e molteplici animali preistorici, tra cui un rumoroso e spigoloso pterodattilo. Pianeta Burg è stato in seguito acquistato da Roger Corman, che ha usato spezzoni del girato di Klushantsev come base per i film Pianeta Preistorico (1965) e Regina di Sangue (1966) di Curtis Harrington. Corman ha riciclato ancora lo stesso materiale per Viaggio al Pianeta delle Donne Preistoriche (1968), debutto alla regia di Peter Bogdanovich.

Upon arrival on Venus, a team of cosmonauts finds a hostile environment filled with furious volcanoes and numerous prehistoric beasts, including a noisy, swooping pterodactyl. Planet of Storms was subsequently bought by Roger Corman, who used Klushantsev’s footage as the basis of Curtis Harrington’s Voyage to the Prehistoric Planet (1965) and Queen of Blood (1966). Corman recycled the footage once more with Voyage to the Planet of Prehistoric Women (1968), the directorial debut of Peter Bogdanovich.
