During a rare visit to the communal laundry room, slacker Mary runs into her new neighbor, who claims to have an extraterrestrial penis. Intrigued, she asks to see the equipment. A couple of  rinse cycles later she’s no longer the same Mary. She discovers she now carries a parasite as tenacious as a tapeworm, an entity that devours her from the inside out and transforms her into a monstrous womb that spews out intergalactic acid. A distant relative of the early works of Peter Jackson, this alien body horror phenomenon made everyone’s stomach turn at the Sundance Film Festival.

Jordan Windsor

«Mum, I’m Alien Pregnant is a somewhat autobiographical story, only minimally embellished with an extraterrestrial penis. The story was conceived while still living with my mother in my 30s and born out of my experience of becoming a parent and participating somewhat in the horrors of pregnancy – both the biological ones and the ones inflicted on women through the codified indifference of doctors. Living through these ordeals in close proximity to my mum deepened both my love for her and my desire to share the trauma and catharsis of the whole experience with an audience.Furthermore our movie is set in small-town New Zealand where a bogan culture thrives in the absence of industry and education – this is the culture for which we have the most love, the culture in which we choose to live, laugh and breed.»

THUNDERLIPS

THUNDERLIPS
THUNDERLIPS is a multi-person identity created by Sean Wallace and Jordan Windsor in 2013 as a moniker for their collaboration. Hungry to create, the duo spent years conceiving and directing music videos and short films with little to no money but so much passion and ingenuity that they’ve collected six Vimeo Staff Picks and their work has been screened at the British FilmInstitute, AFI Fest and the Clermont-Ferrand Festival du Court Métrage. Itching to make feature films, THUNDERLIPS wrote an original screenplay called The Golden Years of Wayne Patterson which made it into the second round of consideration for the Sundance Development Track 2019. Mum, I’m Alien Pregnant is their debut film.
