Serena, la responsabile oberata di lavoro e poco apprezzata del complesso residenziale Paradiso Palms, scopre una morte misteriosa. Serena, the overworked and underappreciated manager of the Paradiso Palms apartment complex, discovers a mysterious death. But what begins as a suspected viral outbreak quickly spirals into something far more terrifying: a catastrophic infestation of venomous spiders spreading rapidly through the building. Trapped by a quarantine with no way out, residents are forced into a desperate fight for survival as the threat multiplies by the second. Armed only with her intimate knowledge of the building, Serena may be the only one who can keep them alive — if she can confront her deepest fear.
«Quando ho letto la sceneggiatura di Crawlers, ero così entusiasta che non riuscivo a togliermi dalla testa quelle immagini. Come regista specializzato in horror e studioso ossessivo del genere, come potevo non rimanere affascinato da questo progetto?
Chi non si è mai spaventato alla vista di un ragno? Abbiamo costruito una narrazione basata su questa paura universale, ricca di momenti di tensione, paura, inquietudine e divertimento… tanto divertimento! Abbiamo sviluppato una trama solida con un enorme potenziale visivo, impiegando un perfetto equilibrio tra horror e frivolezze. Tra sequenze davvero terrificanti, ma anche divertenti e giocose, il pubblico urlerà di terrore, riderà nervosamente e sentirà prurito in tutto il corpo per tutta la durata del film. «When I read the Crawlers script, it inspired such excitement, and I couldn’t get these images out of my head.As a director specialized in horror and a compulsive student of the genre, how could this project not captivate me? Who hasn’t been scared by a spider at some point in their life? We have built a narrative based around this universal fear – full of moments of tension, scares, creepiness, and fun… so much fun!
