L’inventore Shurik ha costruito una macchina del tempo nel suo sciatto appartamento a Mosca. Accidentalmente la macchina trasporta l’inventore, il proprietario dell’appartamento e un ladro al palazzo di Ivan il Terribile, mentre il celebre zar scambia posti con loro nel tempo. Da questo miscuglio di fantascienza e commedia emergono divertentissime complicazioni.
Inventor Shurik has constructed a time machine in his humdrum Moscow apartment. Accidentally the contraption sends the inventor, the apartment house manager, and a thief to the palace of Ivan the Terrible, while the notorious monarch switches places with them in time. Hilarious complications ensue in this giddy mixture of science fiction and comedy.
