L’ambientazione è l’ Inghilterra alla fine del secolo XVII. Una giovane donna viene condannata al rogo per aver complottato contro Giacomo II, ma il perverso giudice che la fa giustiziare, irretito dalle grazie della sorella, cerca di possederla, cosa che cerca di fare anche il perfido servitore del giudice. Non riuscendovi sta per far uccidere anche lei, ma la vera giustizia sta per trionfare grazie all’aiuto di un nobile innamorato della fanciulla.

We are in England at the end of the 17th century. A young woman is condemned to being burned at the stake for plotting against James II, but the peverse judge who sentences her, seduced by her sister, tries to keep her for his own, which his sly manservant is also trying to do. When he is not successful, he tries to kill her, but justice triumphs thanks to the help of a nobleman in love with the maiden.
