Mad God è un’opera in animazione a passo uno a cui il leggendario maestro degli effetti visivi Phil Tippett (Premio alla Carriera del TS+FF nel 2019) iniziò a lavorare nel 1987. Non siamo invitati a seguire il dipanarsi di una storia: siamo invece trasportati dal nostro mondo a un altro totalmente differente, dove ci sono mostri, scienziati pazzi e maiali combattenti, e da cui possiamo guardare al nostro come attraverso la lente deformata di un Hieronymus Bosch a braccetto con Buster Keaton. Aprite gli occhi e il cuore, e preparatevi a incontrare il vostro creatore.
Mad God is a stop-motion film on which legendary visual effects craftsman Phil Tippett (TS+FF Life Achievement Award in 2019) started working in 1987. It invites us not so much as to watch a story unfold as to be transported from our world to another world entirely – one of monsters, mad scientists, and war pigs – where the world we live in can be viewed as if through the lens of Hieronymous Bosch crossed with Buster Keaton. Ready your eyes. Ready your spirit. Prepare to meet your maker.
