After the apocalypse, seven strangers awaken in a realm with no time, no memory, and no way out. Roman numerals on their wrists. Fragments of guilt resurfacing. One believes it’s all her dream – and she’s desperate to wake up. Blade Runner, The Seventh Seal and Twin Peaks inspire this sci-fi treatise about the meaning of life, unique because the goal of the characters is to discover their purpose of existence. Or the goal is to discover the goal, because a person who has no purpose and no meaning of existence in this world, why do you exist at all?

«The genesis of the film Saligia begins with the idea of creating a dream on screen. I was drawn to the creative challenge of interweaving mythological motifs and archetypes with the artistic direction of magical realism and the philosophy of the absurd. The film confronts the weaknesses of human nature alongside the power of the human will, suggesting that individuals ultimately have the strength to choose their own destiny. Above all, it remains a story about sisterly love, about impoverished souls, and about dreaming.»
