Rutger Hauer Premio Urania alla Carriera 2016

Trieste Science+Fiction Festival annuncia il Premio Urania d’Argento 2016 alla carriera all’attore olandese Rutger Hauer, celebre per la sua interpretazione in Blade Runner di Ridley Scott. Rutger Hauer presenzierà alla manifestazione triestina e ritirerà il premio venerdì 4 novembre durante la cerimonia ufficiale alla Sala Tripcovich.

«Io ne ho viste cose che voi umani non potreste immaginarvi: navi da combattimento in fiamme al largo dei bastioni di Orione, e ho visto i raggi B balenare nel buio vicino alle porte di Tannhäuser. E tutti quei momenti andranno perduti nel tempo, come lacrime nella pioggia. È tempo di morire»

È il celebre monologo pronunciato dal replicante Roy Batty alias Rutger Hauer in Blade Runner di Ridley Scott. Nel documentario della BBC Dangerous Days: On the Edge of Blade Runner, Hauer, il regista Ridley Scott e lo sceneggiatore David Peoples dichiararono che fu proprio l’attore olandese a scrivere il monologo di una delle sequenze più memorabili e toccanti della storia del cinema.
Rutger Hauer è divenuto con quel ruolo un’icona assoluta della fantascienza cinematografica moderna.

Rutger Hauer Lifetime Achievement Silver Urania Award 2016

Trieste Science+Fiction Festival announces that the Lifetime Achievement Silver Urania Award 2016 will be awarded to Dutch actor Rutger Hauer, world-renowned for his performance in Blade Runner by Ridley Scott. Rutger Hauer will attend Trieste’s event and will receive the award on Friday, November 4th at the official ceremony in the Tripcovich Hall.

«I’ve seen things you people wouldn’t believe. Attack ships on fire off the shoulder of Orion. I watched C-beams glitter in the dark near the Tannhauser gate. All those moments will be lost in time, like tears in rain… Time to die.»

It is the famous monologue uttered by replicant Roy Batty – alias Rutger Hauer – in Blade Runner by Ridley Scott. In the BBC’s documentary Dangerous Days: On the Edge of Blade Runner, Hauer, director Ridley Scott and screenwriter David Peoples declared that it was the Dutch actor who himself wrote the monologue of one of the most memorable and touching sequences in the history of cinema.
With that role, Rutger Hauer became an absolute icon of modern cinematographic science fiction.
