La giuria presieduta da Mario Soldati decreta miglior film della sesta edizione l’horror e b-movie britannico The Sorcerers di Michael Reeves, vincitore anche, con Catherine Lacey, del premio per la migliore attrice e con Boris Karloff della Medaglia d’Oro del Festival.
La retrospettiva Alcuni archetipi del film di Fantascienza (1920-1950) è curata dalla Direzione del Festival con la collaborazione del National Film Archive di Londra e con il contributo della Universal Pictures, della Cineteca Nazionale di Roma e della RKO.
The jury chaired by Mario Soldati decrees the best film of the sixth edition to be the British horror and b-movie The Sorcerers by Michael Reeves, also winner, with Catherine Lacey, of the award for best actress and with Boris Karloff of the Festival’s Gold Medal.
The retrospective Some archetypes of science fiction films (1920-1950) is curated by the Festival Management in collaboration with the National Film Archive in London and with the contribution of Universal Pictures, the Cineteca Nazionale di Roma and RKO.
