Chartres, 1956. A seguito di un terrificante “incidente” nello scantinato di una villa, il dottor Meyer si convince di aver trovato la tomba di Paolo Zeder, un apolide che pensava di aver scoperto i luoghi in cui i morti possono tornare dall’aldila. Bologna, oggi. Stefano, giovane aspirante scrittore, riceve in dono dalla moglie Alessandra una macchina per scrivere usata. Visionandone il nastro, Stefano scopre una serie di frasi inquietanti, che accennano ad un “terreno k”, capace di ridare la vita ai morti. Rintracciato il proprietario della macchina, un certo Don Luigi Costa, Stefano viene a sapere che costui in realtà, dopo essersi spretato, è morto da alcune settimane e si è fatto seppellire nella necropoli etrusca di Spina.
Chartres, 1956. After a terrible “accident” in a villa’s basement, doctor Meyer is convinced he has found Paolo Zeder’s tomb, a stateless who believed he had discovered the places where the dead can come back from the other side. Bologna, present day. Stefano, a young aspiring writer, receives as a gift from his wife Alessandra a second-hand writing machine. Checking the tape, Stefano discovers a series of disturbing sentences, which hint at a “k soil”, capable of giving the dead their life back. Stefano tracks down the previous owner of the writing machine, a certain Don Luigi Costa and discovers that actually the man has unfrocked, that he has been dead for some weeks and that he is buried in the Etruscan necropolis of Spina.
