L’ingegnere Mabouloff propone agli esperti dell’ Istituto di Geografia Incoerente di sponsorizzare la più grande spedizione mai intrapresa, per la quale ha progettato un treno, un motore, un’automobile, un’aereo e un sottomarino, tutti in fase di costruzione in una gigantesca fonderia. L’itinerario sarà Parigi – Righi – Sole e la spedizione sarà composta da dodici professori con le loro mogli.
