Alla fine del diciannovesimo secolo l’inventore Roch e il suo assistente Hart sviluppano un esplosivo così potente da sostituire l’energia ottenuta da petrolio e carbone. La trama ruota attorno al magnate Artigas, che cerca di impadronirsi del materiale, e vede coinvolti un sottomarino simil-Nautilus, un’isola vulcanica deserta che ospita una città di pirati costruita in un cratere, un lago nascosto con un laboratorio sulle sue rive e un cannone lanciarazzi.

At the end of the 19th century, the inventor Professor Roch and his assistant Hart develop an explosive strong enough to replace the energy gained from oil and coal. The pilot involves the rich villain Artigas, who seeks to acquire the substance, a Nautilus-type submarine, a deserted volcanic island harbouring a pirate city built in a crater, a hidden lake with a super sophisticated laboratory on the shore and a rocket-firing cannon.
