Documentary has always been dealing with environmental issues – long before these became a global emergency. The third edition of the Science Doc Day – the one-day programme of events dedicated to science documentary, the second soul of the Trieste Science+Fiction Festival – is focusing this year on practices for a sustainable audiovisual production.

The meeting will take place in a hybrid format, with in-person and online speaking guests. In Italian only.

Green doc film making

Environmental emergency is a global issue which affects all fields of human activities and industries; including film making. In the last few years several tools have been created to promote an eco-friendly audiovisual production, such as the rating systems, the certifications and the Green Managers. This meeting is meant to provide an introductory overview of these practices: how it works, what the benefits are, what’s the role of the Green Manager, and a few case studies.
