The Fantastic Film Forum is the section of Trieste Science+Fiction Festival dedicated to cinema professionals.

The Covid19 emergency has forced us to present the edition 2020 in online modality. However, the loss of physical presence will be compensated for with an increase of the offer, which has never been so rich and varied: this year’s programme will be five days long, and it will present a schedule filled with specialised meetings, networking events and highly professional workshops. A coherent and structured programme, studied to explore the opportunities and instruments of developing, financing and – most important of all – selling one’s project. An absolute novelty of this year is constituted by the Science Doc Day – with events completely dedicated to the field of scientific documentary.

As in the past years, the 2020 edition of the Fantastic Film Forum will be centred on the development and distribution of films, with particular attention to the internationalisation of projects.

The program of the Fantastic Film Forum is planned as a formation course, where each session broadens the notions given during other events. At the same time, each event can be attended independently, in order to offer a never banal view of the main opportunities of contemporary audiovisual industry.
