Until March 15, 2026, literary works may be submitted to the third edition of the Mondofuturo Literary Prize, a project born from a collaboration between Area Science Park and La Cappella Underground with the aim of highlighting the intersection of literature, science fiction, and science.
The price dedicated to Italian authors and publishersawards the best science fiction book (novels, short stories, or story collections) that is original, untranslated from other languages, and published in its first edition during the year 2025. The selection will take place in two stages: an Expert Jury (consisting of writers, journalists, and university professors) will select the three finalists, which will then be evaluated by a Jury made up of Scientists. The winning title will be chosen based on three criteria: scientific, technological, and social vision; originality of the work; and quality of writing. The award presentation ceremony and any special mentions will take place during the Trieste Science+Fiction Festival.The winners of previous editions were: in 2024, Piero Schiavo Campo with “Il viaggio della Electra Persei” (Delos Digital Publisher); in 2025, Luca Giommoni with “Nero.
