Gang-du lavora in un chiosco sulle sponde del fiume Han. Il paesaggio idilliaco si trasforma improvvisamente nel caos, quando una creatura terrificante risale dal fiume e comincia a stritolare e mangiare la gente. Gang-du e sua figlia scappano per mettersi in salvo, ma all’improvviso il mostro afferra la bambina e scompare nell’acqua. Il governo annuncia che il mostro è in realtà “l’ospite”, il portatore di un virus non identificato.

Gang-du works at a food-stand on the banks of the Han River. The idyllic landscape suddenly turns to bedlam, when a terrifying creature climbs up onto the riverbank and begins to crush and eat people. Gang-du and his daughter run for their lives, but suddenly the creature grabs the child and disappears back into the river. The government announces that the monstrous thing apparently is the Host of an unidentified virus.
