L’astronauta comandante Christopher Draper a causa di un incidente si ritrova da solo su Marte in compagnia della scimmietta Marzia. La vita sul pianeta rosso è dura aspettando i soccorsi, ma il militare non si dà per vinto imparando presto, anche grazie alla scimmia, come procurarsi l’ossigeno, il cibo e l’acqua. Il 147esimo giorno una navicella atterra scaricando molti schiavi usati per estrarre chissà quale elemento. Uno di loro fugge e viene trovato da Draper che lo battezza Venerdì.

The astronaut commander Christopher Draper finds himself alone on Mars with the monkey Mona, due to an accident. Life on the red planet is hard waiting for help, but the soldier doesn’t give up, quickly learning, also thanks to the monkey, how to get oxygen, food and water. On the 147th day, a spaceship lands, depositing many slaves used for mining. One of them escapes and is found by Draper who names him Friday.
