For the graphic layout of the 2018 edition of the Festival, our passage to adult age, we have put all our eggs in the skill and talent of “young” Matteo De Longis. Here is how the illustrator and cartoonist explains his poster:

“Ceci n’est pas de la SF (The Treachery of SF). While making the poster I realized I had a critical approach to the subject: I was drawing a city strongly resembling the urban spaces of Ghost In The Shell or Blade Runner, but let’s not fool ourselves, that’s not the future anymore, it’s the present. The girl taking a selfie was born and bread surrounded by this science fiction-come-true: the net, instant sharing, VR visors, drones, a hyper-global city exploding with lights and consumerism. The present has been catching up with science fiction for some time now, a young girl turning towards us saying: ‘we’re already there, what other fantastic and unpredictable things will you invent next?’”

Dedicated to his pin-up universe and soaked in science fiction, mecha engines and music: this is the exhibition “VOX & more”, mostly taken from his art book VOX, the business card for anybody who wants to access his world.
