L\u2019idea nacque in un periodo in cui l\u2019artista non disponeva di un vero e proprio studio: prov\u00f2, quindi, con l\u2019utilizzo di colla calda e il rivestimento di garza poi pitturata, a mettere assieme oggetti di uso quotidiano, mantenendo la loro riconoscibilit\u00e0 ma al tempo stesso creando qualcosa di nuovo.<\/p>\n<p>La serie era accomunata dalla presenza di un\u2019arma e di uno scudo. Figure vagamente inquiete e ispirate ai \u201cbasilischi\u201d: esseri artificiali, composti per assemblaggio virtuoso di pezzi e parti, che andavano ad arricchire le collezioni custodite nelle \u201cWunderkammer\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Il personaggio prescelto, all\u2019interno della serie, per trasformarsi a sua volta nel Premio Asteroide 2018 rappresenta, quindi, anche una sorta di riscatto dal destino residuale dello scarto tecnologico: l\u2019arte non conosce il progresso, soltanto il cambiamento, la mutazione.[:en]The Asteroid Award of this year is the re-edition of one of the \u201cWarriors\u201d, a series realized by Giuliano Comelli some years ago by using exclusively recycled materials. The idea was born in a period when the artist didn\u2019t have a real atelier at his disposal: and so he tried &#8211; using warm glue and a gauze cover which was then painted &#8211; to assemble everyday\u2019s life items, making sure they kept their identity and at the same time creating something new. <\/p>\n<p>The common feature of the series was the presence of a weapon and a shield. Vaguely disturbing shapes inspired by the \u201cbasilisks\u201d: artificial creatures, skilfully assembled with bits and pieces, which enriched the collections treasured in the \u201cWunderkammer\u201d. <\/p>\n<p>The character of the series selected to become the 2018 Asteroid Award thus represents also a sort of redemption from the residual fate of the technological gap: art doesn\u2019t understand progress, but only change, mutation.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Il Premio Asteroide di quest\u2019anno \u00e8 la rielaborazione di uno dei \u201cGuerrieri\u201d, serie realizzata da Giuliano Comelli qualche anno fa utilizzando esclusivamente materiale riciclato.
