The first two of a set of three masterclasses scheduled on October 29th and 30th, structured to concretely examine the characteristics and benefits granted AI-powered tools in the production of audiovisual contents. An all-round course, meant to thoroughly analyze the main tools, as well as the lesser-known practices, offered by AI in audiovisual and video game production.<\/p>\n

Don\u2019t generate, optimize: Artificial Intelligence as a tool for enhancing film production and distribution<\/p>\n

Although the automatic generation of audiovisual content is becoming increasingly attractive, these technologies do not meet the technical and quality standards of professional cinema. Artificial intelligence, on the other hand, can be effectively implemented in many strategic phases of the supply chain: from automatic screening and budgeting to shooting schedules, predictive analytics, and synthetic audience testing for distribution. This talk will demonstrate how a mindful use of “non-generative” AI can optimize processes and resources and finally enhance the creative aspects of audiovisual production.<\/p>\n

New Horizons: AI and the evolution of audiovisual language<\/p>\n

An advanced masterclass consisting of three one-hour sessions, that will analyze in detail how AI has enhanced the evolution of traditional techniques and which tools can already be integrated into the creative workflows. Among the topics covered: how AI can boost the creative process, for example in the pre-visualization of set designs, moods, and storyboards; how virtual production can reconfigure the practice of production design and direction, for example through AI motion capture, LED volumes, and more in general through AI-generated environments; how digital characters can lead to new forms of audiovisual storytelling.<\/p>\n
