Un\u2019eclissi di Luna battezza il primo Festival Internazionale del Film di Fantascienza che si apre con una giuria internazionale d\u2019eccellenza: lo scrittore inglese Kingsley Amis, il corrispondente di \u201cVariety\u201d Gene Moskovitz, il direttore di \u201cPlan\u00e8te\u201d Jacques Bergier, il semiologo Umberto Eco, corrispondente per il \u201cCorriere della Sera\u201d e il regista francese Pierre Kast, Duilio Magris, presidente dell\u2019Azienda di Soggiorno e Turismo di Trieste organizzatrice dell\u2019evento, Gastone Schiavotto, direttore del Festival.
\nL\u2019Astronave d\u2019oro<\/em>, realizzata dallo scultore triestino Marcello Mascherini, \u00e8 assegnata ex aequo ai film Ikarie XB 1<\/strong> di Jind\u0159ich Pol\u00e1k (Cecoslovacchia) e La Jet\u00e9e<\/strong> di Chris Marker (Francia). Il premio prender\u00e0 successivamente la nuova denominazione di Asteroide d\u2019oro<\/em> e la sua esecuzione sar\u00e0 affidata a Nino Perizi.
\nAl Festival del 1963 viene presentato in anteprima mondiale a Trieste – e ottiene l\u2019Astronave d\u2019argento<\/em> – il film di Roger Corman, L\u2019uomo dagli occhi a raggi X<\/strong>, accompagnato per l\u2019occasione dal produttore James H. Nicholson (padre di Jack) della statunitense AIP.<\/p>\n

\n(\u201cIl Piccolo sera\u201d, 6 July 1963)
\nA lunar eclipse christens the first International Science Fiction Film Festival which opens with an international jury of excellence: the English writer Kingsley Amis, the correspondent of “Variety” Gene Moskovitz, the director of “Plan\u00e8te” Jacques Bergier, the semiologist Umberto Eco, correspondent for the \u201cCorriere della Sera\u201d and the French director Pierre Kast, Duilio Magris, president of the Trieste Tourist Board and organizer of the event, Gastone Schiavotto, director of the Festival.
\nThe Golden Spaceship, created by the Trieste sculptor Marcello Mascherini, is awarded ex aequo to the films Ikarie XB 1 by Jind\u0159ich Pol\u00e1k (Czechoslovakia) and La Jet\u00e9e by Chris Marker (France). The prize will subsequently take the new name of Golden Asteroid and its execution will be entrusted to Nino Perizi.
\nAt the 1963 Festival, Roger Corman’s film The Man with the X-Ray Eyes was presented as a world premiere in Trieste – and obtained the Silver Spaceship – accompanied for the occasion by the producer James Jack) of the American AIP.[\/vc_column_text][vc_separator][\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1\/3″][vc_column_text]giuria \/ jury<\/p>\n
