The unconventional path to film co-production: meeting with Miguel Llans\u00f3<\/h3>\n

Miguel Llans\u00f3\u2019s films are as unconventional as the way they are co-produced, most of his works being shot and produced in Ethiopia with Spanish and Estonian funding. A meeting with the Spanish film director, to find out more about his peculiar idea of film-making and the way he finances it \u2013 and an inspiration for further unconventional film financing.<\/p>\n

Films paying homage to cult classics and B movies represent an enduring trend in the genre film industry. Absurd monsters, practical effects instead of CGI, thrills, humour and low-budget ingenuity are its most common features \u2013 but it takes skill to handle them\u00a0properly. The creators of \u201cThe Invisible Raptor\u201d and \u201cMonster on a Plane\u201d discuss the production of their films, the difficulties and the passion behind them.<\/p>\n
