November 2009, 20th-28th. Happy birthday, Cappella!<\/strong>
\nA special edition of the Festival celebrates the fortieth birthday of La Cappella Underground \u2013 Center for cinematographic and audiovisual researches and experiments \u2013 and of the Moon landing. The protagonists of this edition are two sacred science-fiction monsters, the b-movies king Roger Corman (his The Man with the X-Ray Eyes was awarded during the first edition of the Festival, in 1963) and the icon of British horror films Sir Christopher Lee, unforgettable Dracula on the cinema screens.
\nThe M\u00e9li\u00e8s competition for full length films starts during this Festival edition. This competition makes a match with the competition for short films, organized as part of the European Fantastic Film Festivals Federation. Another new aspect is the section Art&Scienza, which takes place in the auditorium in Museo Revoltella.
\n\u2013
\nThe poster \u2013 a lunar vision of Carso is presented for the fortieth anniversary of the first man landing on the Moon.
\nUrania d\u2019Argento \u2013 the lifetime achievement award is given to Christopher Lee, the bad guy par excellence, idolized character actor for Spielberg, Dante or Burton. He is awarded by Roger Corman, the American filmmaker.
\nAsteroide \u2013 Asteroide \u2013 First Squad is given the Asteroide award for the best film taking part in the competition. Bruce Sterling, the board president, collects the Asteroide award, handmade by the artist Marco Milcovich of stone of Carso.<\/h5>\n
