Il futuro vede una Gran Bretagna conosciuta come Area 27, nella quale la societ\u00e0 \u00e8 divisa in un’\u00e9lite e in una maggioranza dominata da bassi istinti. I primi utilizzano la televisione per ottundere i sensi della maggioranza, in particolar modo attraverso la pornografia, in quanto il sesso televisivo ha ormai sostituito quello reale. Quando questo metodo comincia a non avere pi\u00f9 affetto il Coordinatore Ugo Priest inaugura il “Live Life Show”, nel corso del quale una famiglia lascia l’Area 27 per andare a vivere su un’isola deserta, dove la loro vita verr\u00e0 trasmessa in televisione 24 ore al giorno. Vivere sull’isola si riveler\u00e0 per\u00f2 essere un’esperienza tutt’altro che idilliaca.<\/p>\n

Nigel Kneane’s futuristic parable demonstrates his abiding concerns with both current youth movements and the power of modern media, particularly television. In a Britain of the future, known as area 27, society is divided into the minority ‘high-drive’ people and the majority ‘low-drive’. The former use the voyeuristic pleasures of television, largely through pornography, to dull the most basic urges of the masses. When the sex shows begin to lose their impact, ‘The Live Life Show’ is inaugurated by Co-ordinator Ugo Priest, in which a family leave Area 27 to live on a remote and supposedly deserted island, and they are televised 24 hours a day doing so.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1\/3″][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n
