\nShane Carruth, sceneggiatore e regista, ex ingegnere informatico, \u00e8 nato nel 1972 nel sud della California. Nel 2004 si \u00e8 imposto nel panorama indipendente con il suo film di fantascienza a bassissimo budget Primer, che ha vinto il Gran Premio della Giuria e l\u2019Alfred Sloan Award al Sundance Film Festival. Upstream Color, il suo secondo film, \u00e8 uscito nel 2013 dopo aver debuttato sempre al Sundance. Sta lavorando al suo terzo lungometraggio, The Modern Ocean.<\/p>\n

Kris is derailed from her life when she is drugged by a small-time thief. But something bigger is going on. She is unknowingly drawn into the life cycle of a presence that permeates the microscopic world, moving through nematodes (parasites), plant life, livestock, and back again. Along the way, she meets a man who also has this superhuman force. Identity becomes an illusion as they struggle to assemble the loose fragments of wrecked lives.
\nWriter-director Shane Carruth, a former software engineer born in South Carolina in 1972, burst onto the indie movie scene with his ultra low-budget sci-fi film Primer (2004) that won the Grand Jury Prize and the Alfred P. Sloan Award at the Sundance Film Festival. Carruth finally made a second film, Upstream Color, which was released in 2013 after debuting at the Sundance Film Festival. He is working on his third film, The Modern Ocean.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1\/3″][vc_column_text el_id=””]<\/p>\n
