Il viaggio non \u00e8 tutto rose e fiori: l\u2019astronauta americano David Dane si da\u2019 all\u2019alcool e si arriva quasi all\u2019ammutinamento. Una volta su Marte, l\u2019equipaggio della \u201cExcelsior\u201d trova una societ\u00e0 molto evoluta di pacifisti e vegetariani, che si sono liberati delle malattie, il dolore, la violenza, gli impulsi sessuali e la paura della morte. Avanti si innamora di Marya, la figlia del saggio governante, che lo accompagnera nel viaggio verso casa per portare la saggezza dei Marziani agli arretrati Terrestri.<\/p>\n

The navy captain Avanti Planetaros, is inspired by his astronomer-father to travel through outer space to reach other worlds. Along with young scientist Dr. Krafft, he becomes the driving force behind the construction of a spaceship. The journey is not without its troubles: the American \u2018astronaut\u2019 David Dane turns to alcohol and there is the threat of mutiny. Arriving on Mars, the crew of the \u201cExcelsior\u201d meets a highly-developed society of pacifists and vegetarians, free of diseases, sorrow, violence, sexual urges, and the fear of death. Avanti falls in love with Marya, daughter of the wise ruling elder. She accompanies him on the journey home in order to bring the wisdom of the Martians to the backward Earthlings.[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1\/3″][vc_column_text el_id=””]<\/p>\n
