Van Tassel sosteneva di essere riuscito a combinare conoscenze aliene con le speculazioni di Nikola Tesla e altre discusse teorie scientifiche, per creare una macchina del tempo basata sull\u2019elettromagnetismo, da lui chiamata \u201cIntegraton\u201d. Era solo un pazzo o l\u2019Integraton avrebbe davvero consentito di superare le barriere dello spazio, del tempo e dell\u2019energia? La stessa FBI prese di mira Van Tassel e la comunita\u0300 alternativa che da quel lavoro prese corpo. Il film guarda alle radici della controcultura, in particolare attraverso il punto di vista degli oppositori e dei fautori della \u201cgrande scienza\u201d e del nucleare.<\/p>\n

Calling All Earthlings explores a mid-century UFO cult led by one-time Howard Hughes confidante, George Van Tassel. Van Tassel claimed to have combined alien guidance with the writings of inventor\/physicist Nikola Tesla, and other controversial science, to build an electromagnetic time machine he dubbed \u201cThe Integratron.\u201d Was he insane? Or could the dome really break through boundaries of space, time, and energy? FBI agents worked against Van Tassel and the alternative community that formed out of his work. Calling All Earthlings looks at all the roots of counterculture, particularly through the lens of the reactions against and inspiration of \u201cBig Science\u201d and \u201cThe Bomb.\u201d[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=”1\/3″][vc_column_text el_id=””]<\/p>\n
