Latin America, late 2030\u2019s, Gabh\u00e1n City has fallen to an oppressive and totalitarian government and is surrounded by a wall behind which its inhabitants cannot escape and where they live in destitute poverty. Young Alba is a member of a clandestine network providing hospital care, food and water to the most needy. Lucre, tries to convince Alba to leave with a group of illegal smugglers crossing people to the other side of the wall. Alba however, refuses to leave the hospital, so Lucre lies to her.
