In this talk I\u2019ll share how the game\u00a0Biophobia<\/em>\u00a0grew out of cultural images of the feminine body; ranging from Japanese kus\u014dzu paintings to Shakespeare\u2019s\u00a0Ophelia<\/em>\u00a0and the\u00a0Anatomical Venus<\/em>. Drawing on Julia Kristeva\u2019s\u00a0Powers of Horror<\/em>, I\u2019ll explore how these haunting references shaped its themes of trauma, resilience, and agency. Please note: this talk contains sensitive themes.<\/p>\n
