Big Bang, pianeti, galassie e buchi neri.

Space, the last border. Short lessons about the cosmos

Big Bang, planets, galaxies and wormholes. In the last decades, astrophysics has made great leaps, leading to discoveries which are changing our understanding of the universe. From the gravitational waves to the images of wormholes, from the new potentially habitable exoplanets to dark matter, not only do these discoveries broaden the borders of science, but they also have a deep influence on science fiction. From the pages of his new book, Il cosmo in brevi lezioni (Rizzoli 2024), Amedeo Balbi will guide us in the exploration of the new frontiers of astrophysics, showing us how literature, cinema and television have welcomed, interpreted and sometimes anticipated these discoveries.
