On the occasion of its new edition, scheduled from November 3 to 8, 2026, the Trieste Science+Fiction Festival launches the Sci-Fi Academy, an educational and practical opportunity aimed at university students passionate about cinema and science fiction who wish to test themselves in the field.
Born from the collaboration with two major media outlets in the entertainment sector, ScreenWorld and Badtaste, the project offers an intensive course combining training and hands-on experience within one of Europe's leading sci-fi and fantasy festivals.
The program will feature a series of workshops, meetings, and practical activities focused on film communication, digital content creation, and cultural event management. The Sci-Fi Academy is open to all currently enrolled university students (from any faculty) aged between 20 and 30. All activities will take place entirely in Italian.
The participation fee is 100 euros and includes both the official accreditation to access the festival screenings and events (TS+FF 26), and accommodation at the CX campus in Trieste for the entire duration of the initiative.
