Once again, the Trieste Science+Fiction Festival will host the next edition of IVIPRO DAYS, an annual event focusing on the role and potential of video games as a resource for showcasing the region and its cultural heritage. The 2025 edition will take place from Thursday, October 30, to Saturday, November 1.
However, the season of video game events promoted by the IVIPRO Association will already begin in September with IVIPRO DAY/Off, the first in a series of satellite events—spread across Italy—dedicated to the role of video games within the audiovisual ecosystem.
The first stop will be in Prato on September 19. An afternoon organized by IVIPRO in collaboration with the Toscana Film Commission and Manifatture Digitali Cinema will focus on opportunities for producers and heritage protectors, with professional development and case studies offering audiovisual professionals, cultural institutions, students, and enthusiasts an opportunity to learn about this world and understand how it works.
The event will then continue throughout October with online previews preceding IVIPRO DAYS. The 2025 edition will be even richer, going from two to three days in person, with new business-oriented meetings in the company of Italian and international guests.
Alongside these events, which will be accessible free of charge upon registration, new training courses on game design for the local area are also planned. More information will be provided shortly.
