Space Men was the first movie ever directed by Antonio Margheriti. Despite a tiny budget (49 thousand lira) it enjoyed astonishing success. The film deals with humanity’s attempts to destroy the spaceship Alpha-2, which is free-falling into Earth, with an energetic field capable of reducing the planet to a ball of magma.
